Exactly what I was looking for
This is a simple program, but is what you need if you have a bunch of old slides that have been scanned and have no EXIF data and a creation date of today. It has a feature that allows you to set presets, so I went in and set up one for all the photos that were taken by my father. Then I just applied that preset and batch edited the dates to put the pictures into the approximate time frame of when they were taken. Sometimes you know the exact date because the pictures are of Thanksgiving or Christmas, other times you just need to use the “processed date” indicated by the film lab on the slides. It’s not exact, but it is better than the pictures being sorted with pictures taken around the time the slides were scanned… which will put them about 30 years off the correct date :).
Anyway, not having to do this one by one is worth the price of this app. Actually, I don’t think I will need to use this app ever again, but it was very worth the price.
